Every morning on my way to work, I walk past the
David Rubenstein Atrium.

The space has so much to offer- for one, it sells discount tickets to all Lincoln Center performances... it's like the TKTS for classical music.
The atrium is home to afternoon performances, free wifi, public restrooms, and Tom Colicchio's
'wichcraft café.
Once you're inside, it's a pretty spectacular space!
The atrium is the width of the block, with entrances on both Broadway and Columbus Avenues. There are several art installations, beautiful skylights, and an information kiosk on all Lincoln Center performances and events.
Along the north wall, there is a media area; performance information is projected along this wall, which spans almost the whole building.
And as if the art installations and floor-to-ceiling fountain aren't amazing enough, there are
TWO vertical gardens.
(Is that not the coolest thing? It totally reminds me of something I saw in France a few summers ago... at the
Avignon Les Halles.)
The wall is covered in soil pouches, each containing a plant. There are ferns, grasses, and all sorts of luscious plants.
Isn't this a nice little oasis in the heart of NYC?
