Christmas: Southfield edition

This past weekend we celebrated a special Christmas...
With my Grandma M. in Southfield, Michigan!
We started our day by feasting on a smörgåsbord of hors d'œuvres (how's that for mixing Swedish and French into the same statement?)...
Included on the table were mini pasties, chex mix, and pretty little veggie/cheese spears that were very festive!
After enjoying those tasty treats, we turned our attention to the presents!
We all received great gifts...
Like a membership to the Detroit Institute of Art for my brother...
A new flat screen television for my Grandma's bedroom.
And a set of coasters for me, illustrating some of the beautiful places we visited this summer on our trip through the Upper Peninsula.
We all received wonderful presents, and some funny ones... including this frog shower cap for my Grandma (who told me that she would kill me if I posted a picture of her wearing it on my blog- and that's a direct quote!).
After everything was unwrapped and enjoyed, we headed to the dinner table for a tremendous feast...
Followed by one of our favorite desserts: vanilla ice cream topped with Saunders Hot Fudge!
As you can see, we had a wonderful afternoon...
Thanks for having us, Grandma!
Thank you for visiting my blog- I hope you have a great afternoon!
