Christmas at Rockefeller Center
I've had a blast focusing my blog on holiday-themed posts the last few weeks! But Christmas couldn't arrive without a trip to Rockefeller Center. So the other day after work I made my way to midtown...
I stopped for a minute to check out Radio City... it's such a festive place this time of year thanks to those Rockettes!
But eventually I made my way to the heart of it all...
The tree at Rockefeller Center! This area is always crowded this time of year, and the other night was no different!
The tree is very pretty, but I could hardly see the star at the top. Lucky for me, Swarovski has a duplicate star at eye level to people could really check it out- isn't it beautiful?
I braved the crowds and took my time checking out the area. I love the marching band statues around the area, but this one is my favorite (for obvious reasons).
I eventually made my way to the rink...
Where I watched stangers fall down over and over on the ice... it was pretty entertaining!
I also took the obligatory photo of 30 Rock... hello Jack!
My little trip to Rockefeller Center sure put me in the holiday mood...
How about you?
Thanks for visiting- I hope you have a great day!

Visiting Jack Donaghy
Do you watch 30 Rock?
I happen to think it is quite hilarious! So when I was watching the show last night, I realized I hadn't shared photos of Rockefeller Center since the holidays (you can check out that post here). As I'm sure you can imagine, things look pretty different around this time of year! So without further ado, here are some recent photos of the real 30 Rock:
This plaza area is probably familiar to those of you who watch The Today Show- it's where Matt, Meredith and Al have all their outdoor shenanigans! But during the holidays, this is where the big tree is stationed! When I first moved to NYC, my office was just a few blocks away, so my co-workers and I would walk down here and eat our lunches on those cute, little circular benches. That seems like ages ago... yikes!
If you popped back to my post from December, you'll see that this is where the ice-skating rink used to be. Now it's just a sea of patio sets for the restaurant.
Oh, and look! Now that the weather's warm, there's a fountain behind Prometheus.
But one thing that doesn't change? These flags! Come snow or shine, the flags are always there.
Isn't that right, Jack Donaghy?
(Don't worry- I know he hears me way up there!)
Thank you for stopping by- I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
