Quick- stop the car!

We are currently vacationing in the Adirondacks. The scenery here is so incredibly beautiful, I want to take a picture of everything. For example, the other day as we were doing some errands we drove by this particularly beautiful stretch of river. As I'm wont do to, I yelled "we have to stop the car!"
And because my family is used to my hysterics (and they love me, regardless of my ridiculous need to photograph everything I see), they pulled the car over.
And boy am I glad they did!
I just love the trees...
And the mountains...
And the water!
We took a few minutes to walk along the water (that's my dad on the right)...
And as we strolled through the forest, I got my fill of pine-scented air...
While my brother expertly skipped stones across the river!
I realize we've only been here for a few days, but I'm not sure I ever want to leave!
I hope you're having a great day- thanks for stopping by!

Home sweet home... for now!

I'm living here at the moment.
It's true- I'm on vacation with my family and we're staying at this amazing rustic cabin!
I really love this little house- I would move here in a heartbeat, but I don't think a 5 hour commute to NYC is feasible.
So I'll just have to enjoy the brief time we have here.
And if the cabin isn't awesome enough...
It's located on a branch of the Ausable River!
When we first arrived, I couldn't believe this beautiful waterway was just steps from the cabin.
I'm so lucky that we get to spend a week here, relaxing, exploring... and crafting!
I hope you're having a wonderful Monday- thank you for stopping by!
