Go Zags!

On Saturday afternoon, Gonzaga played Duke at Madison Square Garden. SFS went to Gonzaga, and we've been looking forward to the game for weeks! SFS invited his roommates to the game, so there was quite a posse gearing up for the big event! His alumni association hosted a pre-party at a sports bar earlier in the day, which was a tun of fun. SFS busted out all his GU t-shirts, and loaned one to each of us. I ended up in his Cross Country shirt, which was funny because I only run if I'm being chased! :)
After the pre-party, we headed over to Madison Square Garden.
The GU boys were introduced a few minutes after we arrived... I know about two of their names, which is pretty good for me!
Even though I didn't go there, it was exciting to see the Bulldogs plastered all over such a huge stadium!
And before long, the game started!
The Garden was pretty full... And while there were a fair amount of GU folks near us...
Th place was pretty much packed with Duke fans. (Oh- do you want to play Where's Waldo for a minute? See if you can spot the 4 Santa hats in a row!)
Now, I have to say, this game was a total anomaly. For example, check out the scoreboard over ten minutes into the game:
Yeah... it speaks for itself.

And, most unfortunately, that was the last time GU held the lead.

So I won't share anymore shots of the scoreboard. But I will share a picture of one of my favorite parts of MSG: Now THOSE are names I know!

And while the game was pretty dismal, the entertainment at intermission almost made up for it... look- the Harlem Globetrotters stopped by!
So while the outcome of the game was pretty terrible, the rest of the day was an absolute BLAST! Thanks for stopping by- I hope you have a great Tuesday!!
