Yep... comedy! SFS and I have been going to see shows at Comix. Have you ever been there?
It's a comedy club in Chelsea, and they host some pretty funny acts! Like Monique, who was featured on my menu the other night.
As you might have guessed (from my reference to a menu above), Comix also serves food! And while our tickets are free, I still have to adhere to the drink minimum.
You should see me order my "Shirley Temples"- it throw the waiters and waitresses for a loop every time!Now, you might be wondering how we're scoring these tickets. Well, SFS' roommate's best friend (confused yet?) manages several comedians, and has gotten us on the list for some pretty funny people. The other night, we saw Tom Green.
We've really been enjoying Comix. Over the last few months we've seen Wyatt Cenac (from The Daily Show), Judah Friedlander (from 30 Rock), and Larry Wilmore (from The Daily Show) just to name a few!
If you'd ever like to visit Comix, it's at 14th Street and 9th Avenue. They even have a little lounge out front, if you want to grab some drinks before the show!
